At Newlands, our developments are about more than delivering high-quality space - they are about creating lasting value in the communities where we work.
Our Coton Park development in Rugby, delivered by Newlands, with Winvic Construction Ltd and supported by our social value partner Fusion21, is already generating meaningful impact during the construction phase.
So far the project has delivered 175 social value weeks - over half of the project’s target - alongside a strong focus on local employment, skills and education.
Key outcomes include:
• 30 local residents employed within 10 miles of the development
• 139 weeks of local employment generated
• 2 apprenticeships supported during construction
• T-Level placements with Rugby College students
• Careers guidance sessions and industry insight for local students
A recent focus has been to work closely with schools and colleges in the area, hosting site visits and careers sessions to help young people understand the wide range of opportunities available within the construction and development industry.
From supporting local jobs to helping the next generation explore careers in the built environment, the project is already making a positive impact.
