Newlands Developments was founded in November 2018 by the former senior management team of Roxhill Developments.

Over the last ten years the management team has delivered in excess of 20 million sq ft of logistics space for a number of multinational companies including DHL, Howdens, Nestle, H&M, DPD, DSV, Kuehne & Nagel, Amazon, Evri and others. Many of these have been repeat customers.

Newlands is considered one of the market leading logistics developers and has built up a strong reputation in the industry for delivering high quality developments for its customers as well as successfully taking a number of high profile, complex schemes through the planning process and delivering large scale infrastructure improvements.

In 2019 Newlands agreed a partnership with Equites Property Fund to fund the cost of promoting land through the planning process, acquiring land and implementing major infrastructure works.

Newlands is in a joint venture with Equites Property Fund, a specialist logistics investment property fund listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange in South Africa. Equites is a Real Estate Investment Trust and has a property portfolio specialising in prime logistics across the UK and South Africa.

Equites has assets of over £1 billion of which approximately £500m is invested in the UK.

The partnership with Equites affords Newlands the opportunity to acquire land and fund development opportunities. This includes the planning process, acquiring land and implementing major infrastructure works.

The joint venture allows Newlands to deliver its UK pipeline of development, with the opportunity to bring forward in excess of £2.5bn of gross development value.
